Guest Post on Complementarianism

Elizabeth at That Married Couple is in the middle of a series of posts on new feminism. Today that includes my thoughts on complementarianism and Edith Stein. Check it out, if so inclined. Please comment there, unless you feel like ranting. :-)

  1. Why Edith Stein? I don’t question that the ideas that you attribute to her are really hers. But how and why was she into this? Wasn’t she the Jewish woman who became a philosopher, then converted to Catholicism, them became a nun and was then put to death by the Nazi’s? It just seems strange that a celibate, cloistered nun would care about normal women of the world.

  2. I admire the way you examined the issue and parsed such assertions as “separate but equal”
