I am thankful 8/1/2010

For wooden floors. I hate vacuuming more than any other household chore, and now I do not have to do it (or feel guilty about making Josh do it) for the foreseeable future.

For the availability of multiple daily masses and reconciliation. It is so much easier to get to Church when there are options!

For good books.
Add in time to read, and I’m not sure that I can complain about anything.

For no feeling of dread at the thought of the end of summer. This summer has been a lot tougher than last financially, but so, so, so much happier. I am alive.

One of the great gifts of the Catholic Church! I love that we can go on vacation anywhere, find a local Catholic Church and be able to attend Mass. Anywhere, everywhere. So easy to work around nap schedules too when you are given more than one time to celebrate the Eucharist!

I’m so with you on the hardwood floors! And good books, and for a more soul-at-peace kind of summer.

Our parish doesn’t have tons of options (daily Mass is when I’m at work), but I am grateful to finally have a Parish I love and call home.

I’ll do your vacuuming. You can sweep my floors? ;-)

As for multiple masses and reconciliations, I know what you mean. Your link to your last summer’s post encouraged me to find time for Adoration again. Thank you for your example. :-)
