Some bloggers have written about the problem of eating as much as one’s husband. I think that they are right. That is why it is funny that I ate as much as my husband for lunch today.
I did not consume nearly the same amount of calories not that I was counting but I ate the same volume of food.We each had a large green salad. Mine (pictured above) had a few croutons and just a taste of the dressing. His (pictured below) had lots of dressing, croutons, and two hard-boiled eggs.
My weight gain came mostly from not exercising at all due to pain, but less-than-healthy food played along. Adjusting to my husband meant adjusting to his food. While I did not start eating meat, I did add a lot more dairy and refined foods to my diet. I had never had ramen prior to eating with my husband. He had never had lentils prior to eating with me.
Thankfully, I have finally realized that I need to eat a lot, and I need to eat a lot of the foods that I ate while living alone.
