For peaches. Fresh juicy peaches. For a world filled with babies. Sure, none of them are mine, but it still makes me quite happy to see several babies every day (something new for me) and even to read about blog-friends’ pregnancies and births.

For the ability to walk. And even run without pain. For internet at home. Finally! For sleep. And the fact that I almost always get enough. What a lovely phase of life!

For happiness. I know that it is fleeting. I know that you cannot depend on it, much less shape your life around it. But I still like it and am thankful for it. For shoes. I am not a “shoe” person. I do not own that many pairs. But I do have a high appreciation [...]

For wooden floors. I hate vacuuming more than any other household chore, and now I do not have to do it (or feel guilty about making Josh do it) for the foreseeable future. For the availability of multiple daily masses and reconciliation. It is so much easier to get to Church when there are options! [...]

So now I am even more thankful for air conditioning as I anticipate its “soon return.” [...]

For not-a-lot of stuff. “Moving” meant unloading the car, and a leisurely hour of carrying in boxes and bags was about as much work as I felt like doing on a Sunday. [...]

For my father. As a child people often said that I was like my father. And I hated it. My father was very firm and controlling, the sort of person who can get things done. I had equally strong opinions about life and was quite willing to fight for them, so there was significant conflict. [...]

For my husband and the way that he accommodates my idiosyncrasies. Last night he got out of bed and covered part of his laptop with a pillow because the little blue light was too much for me. I prefer to sleep in complete darkness. For ALDI. Nothing can compare to my beloved Market Basket, but it is oh-so-very [...]
